From WROX:
A member of a black church in Greenville has pleaded guilty to arson. Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church was burned and spray painted with the slogan “Vote Trump” a week before the 2016 presidential election.
Investigators believe the graffiti was intended as a distraction to make the arson appear politically motivated. 47-year old Andrew McClinton will be sentenced next month as a habitual offender because he was convicted of attempted armed robbery in 1997 and armed robbery in 2004 in another part of the state.
