Mississippi has been awarded nearly $4 million to treat opioid addiction. Mississippi was awarded $11.5 million during Fiscal Year 2018 through the federal department of health and human services; Congress increased this year’s appropriations to fight the epidemic and reduce opioid-related deaths nationwide.
