WROX Radio, Clarksdale, Mississippi.From WROX:

Mississippi has been awarded nearly $4 million to treat opioid addiction.  The State Opioid Response Grant allows Mississippi to expand the availability of medication and treatments to areas that don’t have easy access to care, according to Senator Cyndi Hyde-Smith.  Mississippi was awarded $11.5 million during Fiscal Year 2018 through the federal department of health and human services; Congress increased this year’s appropriations to fight the epidemic and reduce opioid-related deaths nationwide.
