Levon’s is one of Clarksdale’s most popular restaurants and bars. Owned and run by 2 Australians who moved to the Mississippi Delta, Levon’s offers a dining and drinking experience that could easily be found in upscale progressive cities, like New Orleans or Austin, for example.

Most of the time you’ll find either Naomi or Greg at the Levon’s bar. Theyt have an extensive knowledge of wines , craft beer and cocktails. The wine list includes wines from California, Oregon, New Zealand, Australia and Germany.
Johnny Cass has been in the restaurant biz for 28 years.
An Australian who was attracted to relocate in Clarksdale, Johnny is a musician and a chef. He is easy and great fun to talk to, and his passion to create great food, and more, is immediately apparent. Johnny’s previous restaurant in Sydney, called The Vanguard, won Restuarant & Catering’s award for best Entertainment restaurant in Sydney. Naomi Casaceli is the driving force behind Levon’s business.
Also from Australia, and Johnny Cass’s better half, Naomi was also part of and integral to the success of the Vanguard Restaurant in Sydney. Upon that, she and her husband began to look for a new adventure, and find it they did. Naomi has designed the Levon’s cocktail and wine list that compliments the food on the menu with wines from all over the world, and her affection and attention for craft beer ensures you that there is always something special on tap.
For appetizers on today’s menu (March 2017), there’s Boudin Bites, Brusssel Sprouts Parmesan, Fried Shrimp (a ClarksdaleNews favorite), Buffalo Shrimp, Mussels and Shrimp Mariniere, Fried Green Tomatoes and Smashed Potatoes. Prices range from $6.95 to $13.95.
Levon’s calls their lunch and sandwichs menu “Something Bigger“, and today’s fare is Pulled Pork Nachos, a terrific BBQ Sandwich, a Bacon and Cheese Burger and Gumbo (chicken, pork and andouille sausage). Prices range eithe $11.95 or $12.95.
Levon’s Main courses today are Seared Salmon with Dill Cream Sauce, Shrimp and Smoked Sausage Fettucini, Spaghetti & Meatballs, Spaghetti Carbonara, Scallop Shrimp & Grits, a chargrilled Filet, Joey’s Spaghetti and New Zealand Rack of Lamb. Prices range from $12.95 to $28.95.
