A Blue Magnolia Films photo story by Tyler Yarbrough, Featuring Lekitha Hill.

Tyler Yarbrough, a senior at Clarkdale High School, produced this photo essay to memorialize his cousin, Dayeveon Hill, a star athlete who was lost to gun violence in February 2017. Tyler and Dayeveon’s mother, Lekitha Hill are launching The Daye 5 Foundation, an anti-gun violence  scholarship program for youth to attend college, turning their grief towards bringing a positive message to Clarksdale.

The foundation will gift two seniors from the graduating class of Clarksdale High School, with scholarships of $1,000 each. “We wish to ensure that those who have the aspiration to get a higher education are not met with challenges that would prevent them from obtaining that dream,” says Lekitha.

Bring their story to light. “Like” and “Share” their campaign to help uplift the community.
