From WROX:
At their meeting last week the board of Clarksdale Public Utilities recognized Michael Wade, who is retiring after 28 years of service to CPU. Commissioners also accepted a low bid of $4640 to replace approximately 200 feet of fencing at the south plant; general manager Curtis Boschert noted that the fence needed to be replaced after a break-in and theft of approximately $10,000 worth of equipment earlier this year.
The board also approved a sponsorship request in the amount of $250 for June’s Birthplace of American Music festival before going into executive session to consider personnel and litigation matters.
