Burglaries are on the rise in Clarksdale; police are investigating nine residential, commercial and automobile break-ins that were reported Monday.  Laptops, televisions and game systems were among the items taken from five homes while chainsaws, drills and a TV were stolen from Clarksdale Public Utilities’ south plant.  A variety of tools were taken from KBH on Anderson Boulevard and thieves attempted to steal two tool boxes from the Delta Farm Store on Desoto Avenue.
